SECOND CLASS

What happens when the people told they are privilegedbecome the very people society leaves behind? In SECOND CLASS, a provocative and uncompromisingexamination of modern Britain, the author challenges the politicalestablishment’s obsession with diversity, equality and inclusion, askingwhether the pursuit of fairness has created a new generation of forgotten citizens. From education and employment to social housing, immigration, policing and criminal justice, this explosive book argues thatWhite working-class Britons are increasingly disadvantaged by institutionssupposedly committed to equality.Drawing on official statistics, controversial cases anduncomfortable questions, it exposes what the author sees as glaring doublestandards, political hypocrisy and a growing reluctance to confront theconsequences of government policy. Why are struggling White children labelled privileged? Whyare young men demonised? And why does equality appear to mean different thingsdepending on who is demanding it?Outspoken, confrontational and unapologetically direct, SECONDCLASS challenges readers to question everything they have been told aboutprivilege, discrimination and fairness in twenty-first-century Britain, anddemands answers from those in power.
