Chandler, Jr. A vital outgrowth of the Black Arts Movement in Boston, AAMARP is a visual arts complex intended to provide free studio space, on-site galleries and multi-purpose spaces for community engagement. This is the first publication dedicated to the history and legacy of AAMARP. At its center is a detailed chronology of the program, illustrated by works created by artists-in-residence past and present. Say It Loud also includes reflections from over a dozen affiliated artists and reproductions of archival materials, including photographs, exhibition announcements and newsletters.
