Haven Mulligan is the queen of her social circle. Unfortunately they're all losers, but Haven doesn't mind. She's used to being an outsider, both at school and in her large homeschooled family. Even with a twin brother, Haven is a loner, the only one in her overflowing brood who embraces the jungle that is public high school. Enter Sutton Ratcliff.

When the beautiful boy shows up at her church, Haven believes they'll continue to ignore each other as they do at school, but she didn't count on her twin brother who feels it's his divine mission to make friends with the most popular guy at her school. Now, confronted with Sutton on her home turf, the two begin finding common ground and an undeniable attraction, one Sutton wants to keep secret for obvious reasons.

Haven is nothing if not confident, even if she is quirky. She won't be Sutton's shameful secret, but what's the harm in a summer fling? It's not like she could ever fall in love with someone so perfectly conventional, someone who won't acknowledge her in public...right?
