Yuka Kobayashi is senior lecturer (associate professor) in China and international politics at SOAS, University of London. Prior to joining SOAS, she was a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. Her research interestsinclude international relations of China, human rights, international law, climate change/energy, and trade and investment (Belt and Road Initiative/WTO/FDI). She has advised various governments, think tanks and internationalorganisations on these subjects and is an editor of the China Quarterly.
