These essays address many of the important ideas being debated in education today. They also provide an historical context for the discussion of the major educational themes that have dominated education over the last twenty years or so. They have been written to honour the outstanding work carried out over more than forty years by Professor John Tomlinson, Director the Institute of Education at the University of Warwick and former Chief Education Officer of Cheshire.
