Learning Democracy

First published in 1987, Learning Democracy comprises 26 pieces written by Lindeman, one of the founding fathers of adult education, and a number of linking essays by the editor. The pieces selected come from a variety of sources and up till then had been inaccessible to scholars. This is thus an invaluable addition to the contemporary literature of adult education, but it should also be of value to those interested in the education of social workers since Lindeman was concerned with social work throughout his academic life.
