LindsayWhitman Drewes has always loved creatures. As a child, she cared for cats,lambs, pigs, calves, and even clams she would find in the creek. She taught scienceto 4th and 5th graders in Toledo, Ohio, helping them find creative solutions totheir problems. She now writes from home alongside her three children, husband,and an array of creatures ranging from cats, snakes, chickens, and hermit crabsto any other critters her kids want to bring home.Maia Batumashviliwas born in Tiblisi, Georgia in 1978. Since a young age, Maia has loved to drawand is inspired by the children's books and cartoons she grew up with. Aftergraduating from two art institutes, Maia worked on an animation project before finallyrealising her dream of illustrating children's books. When Maia is not creatingimaginative worlds, she enjoys spending time with her three beautiful childrenand her dog, Tayo.
