In the name of Hassan

IN THE NAME OF HASSAN is the story of a determined boy's lost wanderings.
It is Iraq in the early 2000s. Hassan wakes up under a vegetable stand to an ordinary day, when he needs to make a living with toil and cunning - food and maybe a few coins - for himself and his family.
"Satan" approaches - perhaps he is among them already - but in the face of this threat the boy feels chosen. He has a special mission. Did he get it from Allah or from his surroundings?
This real-life novel is partly based on several long and revealing conversations with Hassan's uncle, who wants to retell parts of Hassan's life story as authentically as possible. Some names and several elements of the story are fictitious. Hassan's uncle has lived in Sweden for many years now. He wishes to remain anonymous.
