Immigrant Experience

Form grade school to graduate school, educators are increasingly emphasizing the diversity within American society. Since the 1960s, dramatic increases in immigration have changed the face of the United States. This 'New Immigration' has prompted a virtual explosion of scholarship, devoted not only to documenting the struggles and achievements of recent immigrants but also to the experience of earlier waves of immigrants and the vital role of immigration in American history.
