Gynecologic Health Care

Molly Altman, PhD, CNM, MPH, FACNM is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She has published extensively in the area of reproductive health care, with a strong emphasis on anti-racism and addressing bias within health care settings. She has co-authored one book chapter and has 35 article publications, 15 of which are first author publications,' two of which received national awards. She has 18 years of clinical practice as a nurse midwife in both pregnancy/birth and sexual/reproductive health care settings, and has taught all of these topics to advanced practice nursing students over the past 10 years as faculty.'Ellen Solis, DNP, CNM, ARNP, FACNM is a Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Ellen is the program director of UW's Nurse-Midwfery DNP program and directs the School of Nursing's Graduate Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She has over 23 years of experience as a nurse and midwife and has been an advocate for equity in sexual and reproductive health for the entirety of her career. She has published articles and a textbook chapter aimed at healping clinicians expand their practice, reduce their biases, and commincate effectively with clients. In addition to working as a clinican and advocate, Ellen is dedicated to bringing these subjects to her students and improving the education of nurses and advance practice providers nationwide.'
