Nicole Bukaty is a Scotland-based author and long-distance walker,originally from Kraków, Poland, raised between London and France. She has livedin Colombia, Spain and Russia, experiences that deepened her love of languages,travel and cultural exchange. She holds a BA in Philosophy and Hispanic Studiesand an MA in Philosophy from King’s College London, and is also a French andSpanish teacher. Her pilgrimage guidebooks include Walking La Via de laPlata and Camino Sanabrés and Walking the Via Francigena, Part 4,the latter co-authored with pilgrimage expert Sandy Brown. Her new guidebook tothe St Olav Way in Norway, along the Gudbrandsdalsleden route, is set forpublication next. Alongside her writing, she speaks at national pilgrimconferences, contributes to podcasts and interviews, and runs local eventsdedicated to walking culture.
