Grandpa’s Dear Old Girl

FelicityFair Thompson wasborn in Australia. After a short ballet career, she worked for the RankOrganisation in London's West End. Later her interests expanded into filmmaking and writing. Her film Carisbrooke Castle was broadcast on SKY TV.Three of her other travel films were shown on Australian television. Her work includeschildren's stories, three produced stage plays, travel features, theatrereviews, personality profiles, award winning poetry, and three novels. Shefounded and hosted the IW Weekend Writers' Conference with delegates fromBritain, Europe and the US. She gave workshops alongside Sir Andrew Motion atthe Tennyson Bicentenary. With an MA Screenwriting UAL she has taught forScreen South, Connexions, IW College, and independently, and worked one toone with young people with learning difficulties.
