Louis Baldovi served as a rifleman with the U.S. Army's 45th Infantry Division during the Korean War. After his reenlistment in 1953, he was assigned to the Hawaiian Infantry Training Center at Schofield Barracks as an instructor and drill sergeant. He later served as a school teacher and principal for twenty-seven years. Baldovi lives in Honolulu.
