FOUNDATIONS takes an in depth approach to the design and function of ministry and discipleship. We find in the modern Church that our system of training is flawed. Ministry continually tries to add "knowledge" to our faith, when the Bible says we are to add "virtue" to the believer first (2 Peter 1:5). This is why so many believers "know to to good," but struggle in their daily life. There are two kinds of "knowledge" spoken of in the Bible: information and application. Information is knowledge that "puffs up." Hosea says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge," but he is revealing our need for the application necessary for the salvation of our souls. The key to an overcoming faith is a renewed mind. FOUNDATIONS exposes the traditions the modern Church is mired in and offers a functional approach to Discipleship and spiritual training. Many teach that Solomon asked GOD for "wisdom" when in reality he asked for an "understanding heart (1 Kings 3:9)." FOUNDATIONS is designed to help you develop an understanding heart, so you can incline your heart toward wisdom. It is an exegetical study of the principles, practices, and doctrines of the Kingdom of GOD; a tool for the serious disciple.
