Dr. Yongping Li receives her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Regina, Canada. Currently, she is Changjiang Scholar Professor at Beijing Normal University, China. Her research interests involve in energy and environmental systems analysis, environmental pollution control, water resources management, and decision-making under uncertainty. Dr. Li has led or involved in over 60 energy- and environment-related research projects supported by industrial, governmental, and international organizations. She has produced over 450 peer-refereed international journal papers (SCI-based H-index of 58) and supervised over 90 master/Ph.D. students. She has been continuously selected as Highly Cited Scholar in the field of “Environmental Science” (by Elsevier) since 2013. She has been continuously included in Stanford University’s 2020-2023 World Ranking for the world’s top 2 percent of most-cited scientists in the field of Environmental Engineering. Dr. Yang ZENG is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shandong University. He holds dual master’s degrees from AgroParisTech and Tongji University and received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Rennes 1, in collaboration with the INRAE. With over 20 years of research experience, Dr. Zeng’s work focuses sustainable waste valorization, and nitrogen pollution control, with particular expertise in the source apportionment and mitigation of reactive nitrogen species (e.g., NH3, HONO, and NOx) from waste management and agricultural systems. He is Recipient of the NSFC Research Fund for International Excellent Young Scientists (RFIS-II) and serves on the Youth Editorial Board of Environmental Sanitation Engineering.Dr. Gordon Huang is University Distinguished Professor and ex-CRC Tier 1 in Energy and Environment at the University of Regina (UofR), Canada. He is also UofR's Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities. He is Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering, President of International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, and Editor-in-Chief for J. of Environmental Informatics (JCR Q1). He holds B.Sc. from Peking University (China), M.Sc. from Simon Fraser University (Canada), and Ph.D. from McMaster University (Canada). He produced over 1300 journal papers with h-index 90 in Science Citation Index under Web of Science (over 46,000 citations, and Google Scholar h-index over 100). He supervised over 130 master/Ph.D. students (with over 35 of them being faculty members at universities in Canada, USA, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China). Dr. Huang is Professor at Sophia University, Japan. He received B.Sc. from Fudan University, China, and master and doctoral degrees from the University of Tokyo. With a long-standing passion for water-related research, his academic work has evolved from fluid dynamics to water quality modeling and monitoring and further to integrated watershed science and management. In recent years, his research has focused on sustainability science from a water perspective, with particular emphasis on wetland conservation and wise use, as well as flood vulnerability and resilience analysis. He has been actively pursuing transdisciplinary studies to achieve academic excellence and to advance sustainable development.
