Bob Hill knows his discovery of teleporting is likely to cause global disruption, and to goad the nations into quickly finding ways to protect themselves, he decides to hold the world hostage. The nations do react, finding a way to poison him in his secret hideaway. But no one counts on his son hacking his way into the family computer and giving himself access to the technology.
