The existing body of comparative studies on ECEC in the Mediterranean region has received little attention from the academic community. At a national level, she drew up several policy documents.Mehmet Toran is a professor in Early Childhood Education Studies at the Istanbul Kültür University. His research deals mainly with early childhood education curricula, early childhood education approaches, early childhood education policy, poverty and childhood, and critical pedagogy.
