Dr. Devalina Ray is an Assistant professor in Amity University, Noida, UP, India since October 2017. She has received her Ph.D from IIT Kharagpur, India in 2008. Thereafter, she pursued her postdoctoral research in University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas followed by University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Nebraska, USA. She joined Myongji University, Yongin as Research Professor and further continued her postdoctoral research in Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. She was employed as Research associate at IIT-Delhi and then continued to work there as Young Scientist till October 2017. Her research area included synthetic organic chemistry focused on transition metal-catalyzed and transition metal free C-H functionalization and cycloadditions, medicinal and natural product chemistry, green chemistry, peptide chemistry etc. The current area of interest deals with transition metal-free greener synthetic approaches to various coupling reactions and C-H functionalization. Dr. Ray is the recipient of “B. N. Mankad award from Indian Chemical Society, India. She is an affiliate member of Royal Chemical Society, CRSI, and editorial board member of American Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, Heterocyclic Letters and Asian J. Organic & Medicinal Chemistry. Recently, she has been recruited as the Executive Guest Editor of the journal Current Organocatalysis.Professor Bimal K. Banik is a Professor of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was the Vice President of Research and Education Development of Community Health Systems of South Texas, a Tenured Full Professor and First President’s Endowed Professor at the University of Texas-Pan American Center for many years. Professor Banik was awarded Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Chemistry from Itachuna Bejoy Narayan College and Master of Science Degree in Chemistry from Burdwan University. He obtained his Ph. D. degree based upon his thesis work performed at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Calcutta. Dr. Banik was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) and Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey). He is a Fellow (FRSC) and Chartered Chemist (CChem) of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society. Dr. Banik has been involved in organic and medicinal chemistry and biomedical research for many years. As Principal Investigator, he has been awarded $7.25 million USD grants from US National Institutes of Health, US National Cancer Institute, and US Kleberg Foundation. Professor Banik has 370 peer-reviewed publications along with 465 presentation abstracts. The number of citations of his publications is approximately 6400. He serves as a reviewer of 93, editorial board member of 28, editor-in-chief of 12, founder of 4, associate editor of 4 and guest editor of 6 journals.
