Bright Angel Site, Archaeology of the Grand Canyon

The explorer John Wesley Powell first described this small, relatively isolated site at the mouth of Bright Angel Creek. With its own kiva, Bright Angel Pueblo was probably a fairly self-contained residence, though trade pottery clearly indicates contacts with other communities. This book describes the site, its artifacts, and its settlement history.
