Birds of Ásgarðr

A young Viking huntress should have no place in the wars of gods. But when an ordinary hunt is interrupted by the arrival of a mysterious divine child, she is drawn into a prophecy that may decide the fate of gods and mortals alike. To prevent war, rival peoples have forged a desperate treaty, exchanging their most promising children as hostages. Þórr is sent to the giants of Jǫtunheimr. Loki is brought to Ásgarðr. An elven heir is hidden among the Vanir, while Freyr and Freyja are traded away. But in Miðgarðr, far from the halls of gods and giants, one unexpected arrival threatens to change everything. As alliances fracture and ancient tensions rise, mortal and immortal lives begin to converge. In a world of gods, giants, elves, and humans, the smallest human choice may prove powerful enough to alter the destiny of them all. The Old Norse Saga: Part One – Birds of Ásgarðr is the first book in a four-part epic historical fantasy series rooted in Norse mythology and inspired by Viktor Rydberg’s mythic vision of the Old Norse world.
