Ball or Shoot: Choose One is a memoir of sorts. It starts with the author taking you back to his childhood. Recollections of his mother being abused, friends being locked up, and challenges faced growing up in the city where the streets can consume black youth quickly. Basketball was the option to save himself and his family from being a statistic.
