Archaeology of the upper Witham Valley: Prehistoric visitors, Iron Age settlement and a Romano-British landscape dominated by a new villa

This volume reports on an extensive study of the landscape of the Upper Witham Valley, Jolliffe's home in Lincolnshire. It combines systematic fieldwalking with GIS results to piece together a picture of the development of land-use and settlement in the valley, from Neolithic and Bronze Age axe-heads to Iron Age settlement and pastoral farming and a Villa established at an early date, and illuminated by an impressive coin record.
