Mariana Amorim Fraga is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Program, Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil. Her research interests focus mainly on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for the development of sensors, electronic devices, and energy technologies.Spandan Maiti is an Associate Professor in the Bioengineering Department and the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Department of the University of Pittsburgh, United States. His research is focused on computational biomechanics and biomaterials, and multiscale and multiphysics techniques applied to physical and biological systems.William Chiappim is an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, São Paulo, Brazil. His research centers on the physics of fluids, and the physics of plasmas and electrical discharges.Patricia L. Schilardi is Principal Researcher at Instituto de Investigaciones Fisicoquímicas Teóricas y Aplicadas (INIFTA), La Plata, Argentina. Her research interests are on modified surfaces, both from a chemical point of view (functionalization of surfaces, adsorption of biomolecules, etc.) and topographical (adsorption of nanomaterials, surface nanostructures).
