Born in Wallasey, Sally Ann Melia moved to the South of France and the cosmopolitan city-state of Monaco, where she spent her teenage years. As the lone English student in a French school, Sally spent her time writing stories while her classmates learned English. This sparked a lifelong passion for writing, leading her to pen novels, scripts, stories, and articles.

A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable read. I haven't read sci-fi for some while, and wasn't sure how I'd take to it, but I needn't have worried. Sally Melia has created a totally believable world in which to place her young hero, Guy Erma, an unregistered Domeside bastard. I loved the detail, the settings, the characters, the political intrigues and the complexity of the plot. It has light and dark shades, humour and heartbreak and best of all it's very well written and constructed. I shall be looking for more titles from this author. R.Coulsen
