Woman's Voice

Dr. Marcella Bakur Weiner received her doctorate from Columbia University and her post-doctorate certificate in psychoanalytic training from the Mental Health Institute in New York City. A former Senior Research Scientist for the New York State Department of Mental Hygeine, she has been on the faculty at Columbia University, City and Brooklyn Colleges of the CUNY, and Fordham University. Dr. Weiner is the author or co-author of numerous books and articles. Dr. Blema Feinstein received her doctorate from the City University of New York. She is the author of numerous articles in Jewish publications including Bas Ayin, Amit Women, and Midstream.

For many centuries the still, small voice of Jewish women would delicately penetrate the hearts of generations inclined to listen. This voice, forever mindful of the need for concealment, has given love, life, inspiration, and encouragement to Hashem's lonely children. In our times, more than ever, we desperately need to hear 'A Woman's Voice' to understand her unique message, to look at the Torah and ourselves through her eyes. A Woman's Voice takes us on a unique journey through Tenach so that we may once again hear the voice of those great women of our past, understand their message for the present, and be filled with a hope for the future.
