Unveiling protectionism

Textile and clothing comprise a unique industry in the global economy and it is the most protected of all manufacturing industries, both in developed and developing countries. This publication is compound by different studies about protectionism in textile and clothing industry. In Part I there are seven chapters about different aspects of protectionism, including economic impacts, competitive advantage, supply and demand. Part II is eight country reports for: Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, and Thailand.
