The Real Cuba

Trendle-Troxell is a 95-year-old lady who decided, at age 93, to write the story of her family's life in Cuba. The Real Cuba is the intriguing story of this American family's life in Banes, Cuba in the 1940s and 1950s before the Cuban Revolution. The family lived and worked on an American sugar plantation 400 miles from Havana in one of the rural provinces which is why the author says "the Cuban countryside is the real Cuba". Mrs. Trendle-Troxell relates many fascinating experiences of learning Spanish and of learning about the Cuban culture, plus stories of living among the wonderful Cuban people.
