Dr. Priscilla Nyadoi is the Deputy Director, Directorate of Graduate Studies Research and Enterprise of Uganda Martyrs University, Kampala, Uganda. She is also the Director in Charge of Research, and Lectures in the Graduate Programme of the same University. She has over 12 years of experience teaching in higher institutions of learning, having taught for eight years at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) in the department of Agricultural Production of Makerere University, 3 years at Nyabyeya Forestry College and two years now at the Uganda Martyrs University. Dr. Nyadoi has over 10 years of experience in research, six of these having been with the World Agroforestry Centre, ICRAF Nairobi Kenya, two and half years with the Austrian Institute of Technology (formerly Austrian Research Centres) and, a number of years with the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) in Uganda. Dr Nyadoi is an editor and a reviewer for a number of peer reviewed scientific journal publishers and has authored over 15 peer reviewed journal articles, and co-authored a number of edited book volumes. Married to Zachery Onyango and mother to Canaan Onyango Obbo, Dr. Nyadoi is also the President of the Organisation for Women in Sciences for the Developing World (OWSD) Uganda National Chapter, was the Vice Chairperson of the 7th Board of Directors of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Uganda. Dr. Nyadoi holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry with specialisation in the areas of Ecology, Genetics and Biodiversity.Dr. Fulgensia Kamugisha Mbabazi is a Ugandan mathematician and Senior Lecturer/Ag. Deputy Chief, Graduate Studies, Research and Innovation at Busitema University, Uganda. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from PAUSTI/Jomo Kenyatta University, an MSc in Mathematics from Makerere University, and a BSc. Ed from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), with 16 years of teaching experience and expertise in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases and fluid dynamics. Dr. Mbabazi is a seasoned academic and researcher. Her leadership experience includes serving as the former Deputy Dean of Science and Education at Busitema University. She has published over 10 peer-reviewed articles, contributed a book chapter, served as a Book Editor and a reviewer for scientific journals and research grants.Dr. Mbabazi is an active member of professional bodies, including the Uganda Mathematical Society, the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World, Eastern Africa Network for Women in Basic Sciences, and Uganda Women Mathematicians.Dr. Fredrick Ssali earned an M.Sc. from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Fredrick has conducted research on climate change effects on alpine biodiversity, community use of plant resources, elephant impacts on ecosystem dynamics and the problem with bracken fern thickets in tropical Africa. He was shortlisted for the Georgina Mace Prize 2024 by Ecological Solutions and Evidence and has received several awards including a Quota scholarship by the Norwegian Government and two BES Ecologists in Africa grants. He has taught courses ranging from basic ecology and evolution, vertebrate biology, hydrobiology, plant systems and taxonomy, and quantitative research designs.
