Spirituality and Social Work

John Coates is Professor of Social Work at St. Thomas University, Fredericton, New Brunswick. He is also Chair of the Canadian Society for Spirituality and Social Work and has written on the relevance of ecology and spirituality for social work.John R. Graham is Murray Fraser Professor of Community Economic Development at the University of Calgary. He has published on the history of spirituality and social work in Canada, and on traditional healing and Islam in the Middle East.Barbara Swartzentruber is Lecturer, Social Development Studies, at Renison College, University of Waterloo, and in the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has written and presented on the topic of spirituality, social work, and social development at Canadian and international conferences.Brian Ouellette was Assistant Professor of Social Work at St. Thomas University. He developed the first Canadian social work course on Spirituality and Social Work.
