Dr. Kavita Arora is presently working as a Professor at the Department of Geography, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, India. She has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. She earns her Ph.D. in Political Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She published her research in many national and international Journals. Her areas of interest are political Geography, Regional Planning, Development and Environmental discourse, Disaster Management, and Indigenous People. She is awarded a post-doctoral fellowship from the Indian Council of Social Science Research. New Delhi. She has also developed content and recorded various modules for E-PG Pathshala and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. She has authored and translated various modules for Geography, Economics, and Sociology for Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. She authored a book Indigenous Forest Management in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India, Springer and Co-authored a book "Urban Green Space, Health Economics and Air Pollution in Delhi", Routledge India. Dr. Rashmi Rani Anand is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for African Studies, School of International Studies, JNU, New Delhi, India. Before this, she also served in the Department of Geography, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi for 8 years. Her interests are African Studies, Geospatial Technologies, Political Geography, and Developmental Issues. She holds an M.A. from the Department of Geography, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the Centre for African Studies, School of International Studies, JNU. She is a trained geographer and has published widely in international and national journals. She has also created content and recorded modules for E-PG Pathshala and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Education, Government of India. She has also developed chapters as the subject expert of geography for the Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim. She has chaired and co-chaired technical sessions in national and international conferences. She has also organized various national, and international conferences, symposiums, and faculty developmental programs as co-convener. At present, she is also a member of the Board of Studies at SIS/ JNU and a member of the standing committee of the Human Rights Studies Programme (HRSP), School of International Studies, JNU, New Delhi. She is also serving as co-coordinator of the MA IRAS programme and MA-PISM member at the school level. She is also serving as the Book Review Editor at Insights on Africa, a Scopus-indexed journal.
