Sexual Assault and Abuse

This collection of articles introduces religious professionals to the physical, spiritual and psychological consequences and related issues of abuse. It teaches them how to recognize patterns in situations they are likely to encounter and helps them to respond with compassion and understanding. It also provides pastoral resources and outside references to aid the minister and counsellor seeking assistance for long-term problems. Contributors include religious and psychology professionals with particular expertise in the subject, plus women whose personal stories bring to light their painful experiences.
