My name is Sarah Braxton, and I'm a witch. It's the height of summer tourist season, which means the bookshop I run with my mouthy cat, Rhiannon, is finally in the black. Life is good. Or is it?

A strange gargoyle just appeared in the occult section. And it's crying. My witchy senses tell me that gargoyle is only the start of my problems, and unfortunately, my premonitions are always right...

I twisted my ankle running, there's a dog on the loose, big trouble flies on the balmy winds, and the only clue is an orange sneaker.

What's a witch to do? Corral my handsome, geeky boyfriend and the rest of my wacky crew, and stop the threat menacing our sleepy seaside town... before it's too late.
