Ve-Yin Tee is Assistant Professor in the Department of British and American Studies, Nanzan University, Japan. His most recent publication is the chapter for Transcultural Ecocriticism: Global, Romantic and Decolonial Perspectives (2021) edited by Stuart Cooke and Peter Denney, ‘The Dark Side of Romantic Dendrophilia’. He is the author of Coleridge, Revision and Romanticism: After the Revolution, 1793–1818 (2009) as well as the teen novel On Donuts and Telekinesis (2014). He is currently working on Japanese steampunk sculpture.

Romantic Environmental Sensibility: Nature, Class and Empire offers a boldly revisionary reading of environmental texts from the British Romantic period. The essays in this collection are profoundly concerned with questions of environmental justice and social class as manifested in the work of English aristocrats and working-class writers and in the perspectives of colonial overlords and local inhabitants throughout the British Empire. This book makes a vitally important contribution to the emerging discipline of ecocriticism.
