For Rodeo Turner, a life filled with little food, limited resources and a drug addicted mother, had become normal to her. She even got used to waking up most nights, only to find her mother gone. It never bothered her because her mother was always there in the morning. But, one morning, at the age of seven, Rodeo learns that her mother has been killed. Hungry and abandoned, she is forced to run away from the only place she's ever known.Little does she know, this unfortunate tragedy, will cause her to stumble upon an unlikely blessing.When an old, wealthy man named Thomas Donovan, finds Rodeo asleep on his train, he takes her in as one of his own and eventually, adopts her. She couldn't have dreamed that her life would turn out so good, despite the fact that Richie, Thomas' only son, doesn't like her. The realization of just how much he hates her becomes more evident, when she finds out Richie was the mastermind behind the night she was kidnapped and nearly killed. To make matters worse, all too soon, tragedy strikes again, leaving Rodeo to travel an unpredictable road filled with many disappointments.Throughout her journey, can Rodeo continue to keep the faith that Thomas has instilled in her.
