Political Economy of the Great Lakes Region in Africa

STEFAAN MARYSSE is Professor of Political Economy at the institute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM) at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He is also the Director of the Centre of the Study of the Great Lakes Region in Africa and co-editor of Annauire des Grands Lacs d'Afrique and author of L'Economie Informelle au Zaire/ Congo. FILIP REYNTJENS is Professor of Political Science and Chairman of the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IDPM) at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. His book L'Afrique des Grands Lacs en crise: Rwanda, Burundi: 1988-1994 has been translated into many languages and he also co-edited Annuaire des Grands Lacs d'Afrique.
