Pequea pequeita CHILDREN SONG CYCLE FOR VOICE AND PIANO

Pequeña pequeñita is a children song cycle for voice and piano created by Colombian composer Jaime León. Besides providing the sheet music, the book offers an introductory study contextualizing the composer and the poets. The study is in English and in Spanish. The book has poetry translations into English and IPA transcriptions.  

Jaime Leon is one of the most important Latin American composers of the XX century. His Children song cycle is one of the most beautiful written in Latin America as it incorporates Colombian rhythms into a standard art song composition.  This song cycle should be in the repertoire of classical singers interested in including the song in Spanish in their performances.
