What nasty people we are. I enjoyed reading this strange, yet strangely humorous book a lot. Why? Not sure because all the characters are pretty loathsome beings you'd steer clear of if you knew what was good for you, but that was possibly why I liked it so much. I've been told you have to make your characters likeable so they can get you on their side but such is the in depth characterisations of the personalities in this book you are driven to read on. I am always delighted to read this author, he is a shining nugget amongst a pile of indigestible writers out there today and am already looking forward to next novel. He were an unsigned footballer Chelsea would have snapped him up a long time ago. (Amazon. The characters in this book are if anything more unlikeable than in Milnes' previous book, and they get deeper and deeper into a mess of their own making as they seek to rob ailing DJ Pete Moran. As the robbery plot proceeds the situation becomes more and more absurd, as events run out of control in a hilarious manner. An excellent read. I wholeheartedly recommend this novel and think that Milnes is an original talent....sign him up and plug him somebody. (Amazon. Verified purchase.)
