The subject matter is very practical and the treatment given in this book is a very thorough and comprehensive one. The book does present many state-of-the-art ideas, but not at the expense of detailed descriptions of enabling background technology. The presentation is excellent throughout with an extensive list of references grouped at the end of each chapter and a good overall subject index.
