Presenting a unique East meets West subaltern history of the twentieth century, this book juxtaposes the political lives and ideas of B. R. Ambedkar and Malcolm X, homing in on their respective struggles against caste and racial discrimination. Despite the differences in their backgrounds, the two thinkeractivists had significantly overlapping worldviews, shaped by their experiences of identity-based oppression, marginalization, and institutional violence.
