Gideon Brough holds a PhD in Medieval Diplomatic Relations and Warfare from Cardiff University, UK. He currently teaches Welsh, British and European History at The Open University, UK. His main academic interests are Welsh and French History, focusing on aspects of warfare, diplomacy, power relations, geopolitics, insurgencies and notions of identity.Sophie Patrick is Lecturer in French at University of New England, Australia. Her research interests include medieval French literature and translation, as well as dystopian and declinist literature.
