Sheri Rysdam (Author) Sheri Rysdam is associate professor in English/Writing and Director of the Writing Center at Eastern Oregon University. She has spent over two decades teaching college writing and engaging in related scholarships regarding political economy, contingency, social class, and access. In addition to her work on strategies for teacher response to student writing, she has several publications in feminist medical rhetorics, which has culminated in an upcoming book in doula rhetorics. Her work has most recently appeared in Women’s Health Advocacy: Rhetorical Ingenuity for the 21st Century and Inclusive Aims: Rhetoric’s Role in Reproductive Justice.JT Torres (Author) JT Torres is Director of the Houston H. Harte Center for Teaching and Learning at Washington and Lee University. His research into writing assessment, specifically the relationship between feedback and student identity, has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and used by the American Association of Colleges and Universities to inform the development of VALUE rubrics. He is the co-editor of How to Incorporate Equity and Justice in Your Teaching, the co-author of How to Use Writing for Teaching and Learning, and the arts-based ethnography Situated Narratives and Sacred Dance: Performing the Entangled Histories of Cuba and West Africa. His scholarship is frequently covered in outlets like Inside Higher Education and Chronicle of Higher Education.
