Nichiren's sangha series Lay Disciples

Nakatsukasa Sabur saemon-no-j Yorimoto, best known as Shij King, is perhaps one of the most iconic and inspiring lay followers of Nichiren. He has been actively supporting him through his whole life, while becoming a lay priest with the name of Shgen'in Nichirai in retirement. This research will provide a broader perspective and attempt to depict Yorimoto as a person.
