BEN KNIGHTS is Professor of English and Cultural Studies at the University of Teesside, UK, from where he is seconded to direct the Higher Education Academy English Subject Centre, Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. He is interested in the pedagogies of English, especially the ways in which the subject is gendered.
