Martin Bucher is CNRS Directeur de Recherche at Université Paris Cité and Fractional Professor at Stellenbosch University. Prior to moving to France, he was SW Hawking Fellow of Mathematical Sciences and College Lecturer at the University of Cambridge. Bucher has also held positions at IAS in Princeton, Princeton University, and the CN Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on theoretical and observational cosmology, and he was part of the ESA Planck CMB Mission team, which in 2018 was awarded the Gruber Cosmology Prize.
