JERUSHA HULL MCCORMACK is a leading scholar of Oscar Wilde and of the 1890s decadence, which Yeats so memorably called 'The Tragic Generation.' Her previous publications include Wilde the Irishman, which she edited, an academic study of John Gray and an edition of his selected prose.
