Mama Don't Cry is about a girl who got pregnant when she was just a teenager, after giving birth to her child she started finding a lot of difficulties and challenges in life. The young mother who never had a mother herself was inspired to take charge and raise her daughter after realizing how important it was for a parent to be both involved and devoted in a child's life. Through the absence of her parents in her life she was able to see and make changes in her daughter's life making sure that she was present and worked very hard to make it in life for her and her daughter. As time passed by days grew hard and nights turned cruel, but both Honey and her lovely mother persevered not knowing what tomorrow was going to bring for them. The mother of the young child had a passion and often dreamt of becoming a famous singer; so on the night of Christmas eve she sat down and prayed sincerely to god wishing that she could make it through the auditions and that she'd get a record deal through the show. On the night of the American Music Awards she sang one of her favorite songs, and one of her first hit songs named "Mama Don't Cry".
What makes this story very great and inspiring is that every time the mother would start to cry her daughter would come to her and tell her night after night and each time she saw her dear mother cry she'd say "mama, mama don't cry, for I'll be there right by your side," and that's when the mother knew that she was very blessed, because she had the most loveliest daughter in the whole wide world, and they stuck together until the end.
