Law of the Sea

The Guidelines aim to assist delegates and representatives of coastal States in implementing the provisions in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on deposit and due publicity regarding the limits of the maritime zones in which a coastal State exercises its sovereignty or sovereign rights and jurisdiction. The Guidelines set out the process and contents of a deposit and provide information on procedural and technical aspects of deposit and due publicity. The Guidelines also include supporting resources and reference material.
