Simon Chesterman is David Marshall Professor of Law and Vice Provost at the National University of Singapore, as well as founding Dean of NUS College. He was previously Dean of NUS Law (2012-2022) and Global Professor and Director of the New York University School of Law Singapore Programme (2006-2011). Before that he was Senior Associate at the International Peace Academy and Director of UN Relations at the International Crisis Group in New York. Earlier experience includes the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yugoslavia and an internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.Ian Johnstone is a Professor of International Law at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He has been a faculty member since 2000. He served as Interim Dean from 2018-2019 and Academic Dean from 2013-15. Prior to joining Fletcher, Johnstone worked as a Legal Officer and Political Officer in the United Nations, mainly in the Office of the Secretary-General. His most recent books include Building an International Cybersecurity Regime: Multistakeholder Diplomacy (Co-editor, 2023); Talking International Law: Legal Argumentation Outside the Courtroom (Co-editor, 2021); and The Oxford of International Organizations (Co-editor, 2016). A citizen of Canada, he holds an LL.M. degree from Columbia University and J.D. and B.A. degrees from the University of Toronto.Blanca Montejo is Senior Political Affairs Officer in the Security Council Affairs Division of the United Nations and Visiting Adjunct Professor at New York University Law School. From 2024 to 2025, she was Deputy Chef de Cabinet of the 79th President of the General Assembly. She has served in the Security Council Affairs Division since 2014. From 2007 to 2014, Blanca served in the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations. Before joining the United Nations, she worked as an attorney in two major international law firms. Blanca holds a law degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, and Masters' degrees from the European University Institute in Florence and New York University Law School.
