Jewish Addresses in Ukraine

This one-of-a-kind guidebook tells the story of locations in Ukrainian cities and villages associated with the history and culture of Ukrainian Jewry. The guide is organized geographically, with a separate section for each oblast. Since the history of Jewish communities in Ukraine is a varied one, the sections of the guide also vary. The illustrations show both cultural monuments that still exist today and photographs of those objects that have not been preserved. Special attention is given to Ukraine's prominent Jews, i.e. writers, cultural figures, community leaders, philanthropists, and religious leaders, as well as to righteous people. The guide will be especially useful for tourists interested in the Jewish history of Ukraine.
