Dr. Manoj Choudhary is an Adjunct Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, following a 36-year career in R&D at Owens Corning (OC). At OC, he established and led computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of glass melting and polymeric extrusion processes and contributed to major developments in these technologies.He earned his Sc.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and MS and B.Tech. (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, respectively.His professional work has focused on applying transport phenomena, thermodynamics, engineering analysis, and CFD to advancing sustainable materials manufacturing. He has held leadership roles in several organizations, including President of the International Commission on Glass (ICG). Dr. Choudhary is an Academician of the World Academy of Ceramics and recipient of numerous international awards, including the ICG President’s Award and the L. David Pye Lifetime Achievement Award of the American Ceramic Society.
